Stellarcon
Just got back from Stellarcon, and OHEMGEE was it the most fun I’ve ever had at a con! I drove by myself, so I listened to the Dragon Page all the way down there. That put me in a good mood…which was fortunate, since I got lost and ended up driving up and down different derivatives of US 311 for an hour. This was, of course, because my directions failed to specify WHICH of the THREE 311 exits I was supposed to take. However, I did finally make it to the con, and all was well.
Friday night was perhaps the most fun I have ever had after walking into a room of complete strangers. Some congoers had a Shingdig (Firefly party, essentially…I won’t go into details because it involves spoiler material) going and I think about half the con stopped by, including most of the people at the con that I ran into later and actually wanted to talk to. Yay for that networking workshop I went to…let other people talk about themselves. It works wonders, and I found out a lot of interesting things. Also, it was really nice to be at a con where the guests/panelists mingled with the attendees. Thanks guys, if you read this, for making my first Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Gaming con a total blast!
