I have one thing to say to whomever was inc harge of advertising the Raleigh Ren Faire. Did you fracking quit??? This faire is going to totally suck next year uness something drastically changes, because they did little to no advertising this year, and sales were down for pretty much every merchant except the food vendors. Sixty percent. That is more than can be accounted for by statistical variation! Unless the faire drops their prices for merchanting space, I forsee a very sparse faire next year with half as many booths selling things. So have fun if you decide to go, because unless Ageless Fashions (the people I work for there) comes back, I won’t be going at all.
On a completely different note, I have now watched every Battlestar Galactica DVD Netflix has, as well as two more episodes from iTunes because I’m an impatient fangirl. I’m loving the series, and I totally recommend it to anyone who is looking for a SF show that’s not too deep but has plenty of mystery.
Also, if you have to go to the emergency room in the middle of the night for something less than immediately life-threatening, bring a book and a blanket, and preferably someone to use as a pillow. That is all.
