Word Count Rising! (and Trinoc*con)
Today saw 650 words added to my collaborative story with Lauren Harris, aka “Scribe”. We don’t have a title for it yet, and it’s only at about 8,000 words total…most of that is the pre-history that Scribe wrote. Just finished the first chapter and started on Chapter 2. The working title is Blood Bound but I haven’t had a lot of time to discuss it with her yet. This is a story I’ve been writing in my head for quite some time now (6 years, to be exact) and it’s about time I put it down in some kind of coherent form.
The two main characters are my character Rhysta and Scribe’s character Zeike. So now this blog is going to be my word count journal, among other things. After all, I need SOMETHING to keep me motivated! Podiobooks.com is doing a great job of keeping me inspired and wanting to write, so I hope this will continue. Just got to sit down every day for 30-60 minutes and make myself write something, right?
Also, I’m going to be attending Trinoc*con since it’s changed locations and is now a 20 minute drive from my house (WOOT!). Too bad I couldn’t gank a spot in Artist Alley…maybe I’ll see if they have any spots left when I get there. It would be nice to sell some more of that jewelry. If you’re going, please let me know so we can get a drink and talk! Yeah, that means you, Rich, since I’m pretty sure you’re the only one who reads this besides my boyfriend. If anyone else DOES see this, I’ll consider that an added bonus!
